ANNUAL EVENTS
Summit Park Neighborhood Association - DUES
Dues for the current year ($10 per adult) are accepted at any time. Please mail a check to SPNA, P.O. Box 30893, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87190-0893. If you are already one of the 400+ on our e-mail list, you do not have to repeat your info (address, telephone, e-mail) - we already have it on record. If you are a new member, please write your information clearly - name, address, telephone, e-mail address. Thank you. All dues received at this time will be applied to the October 2019 - October 2020 membership year. Thank you to all who have sent in your dues. Your support is appreciated and enables us to fund our various neighborhood activities.
BLOCK PARTIES
Every year, several of our neighbors organize a summer or early fall block party. SPNA will provide reimbursement for your expenditures (excluding alcohol), in the amount of $150-200, depending on the association's finances and the number of requests for reimbursement. Right now, since our membership is strong, our treasury is able to reimburse up to $200.
Procedures for Block Party Reimbursement
All block party organizers must be current members of the neighborhood association.
Organizers must notify the SPNA Board at least one week prior to scheduled block party, giving the date, time, and location. Every effort will be made to have one or two board members stop by to introduce themselves and familiarize neighbors with the neighborhood association.
The board will provide paper plates, napkins, cold drink cups, and plastic silverware (forks and spoons). There will be no reimbursement if you purchase these items.
Receipts must be submitted to the board within 30 days. Each item on receipt should be clarified, if necessary.
Reimbursement will be approximately $150 - $200, depending on the association’s finances and number of requests received. (The current reimbursement is $200.)
OTHER NEIGHBORHOOD EVENTS
If you would like to host a neighborhood event other than a block party, you may still be eligible for some financial reimbursement. SPNA supports information-sharing events, multi-generational events, etc. Use the contact sheet to contact the board if you would like more information or would like to pursue an idea.

ALBUQUERQUE POLICE DEPARTMENT CRIME PREVENTION UNIT
Vehicle Identification Number Window Etching Event..
Window etching of your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) is an excellent deterrent to auto theft. In a matter of minutes the VIN can be permanently fixed in a corner of each window. Placing the VIN on each window can discourage thieves from dismantling your automobile and reselling the parts, which is one of the primary reasons our vehicles are stolen. It also assists law enforcement efforts to retrieve a stolen vehicle
When the next VIN Etching Event is announced, sponsored by the Albuquerque Police Department, we will post the information on this web site - date, time and location.
The window etching is free and residents must bring current vehicle registration. For more information on auto theft prevention, visit: www.cabq.gov/police/crime-prevention-safety/auto-theft
